Well, I did also say...
"What's the measurement of Quality according to Google, Yahoo, MSN?
we don't completely know their algorithms, but we do know a few contributory factors that increase our chances of achieving better PR"
No one knows their algorithms, completely. Except Google, Yahoo and MSN, right?
I wouldn't be referring to the little green bar in everybody's toolbar, but the actual PR results (based on the algorithms)
High PR = Lotsa' Traffic, that's a no-brainer. We all know that. That's all I was saying. Which I asked in the form of a clueless question regarding something that's been done since cavemen were drawing deer on caves (not really that long ago, But it's called Link Trading, and it's been done since God said "Let there be Light")
How do we measure Quality OUTSIDE of the SE's algorithms?
I guess you could say that a link trade on a website with content as equally comparable, or less comparable to your's (with also a high degree of traffic) would be considered a Quality Link.
If I were to do a link-trade with Revlon (which is never going to happen by the way) my site might earn for itself higher traffic because I have a more "credible" link, according to Google, Yahoo, or MSN.
Then again, this goes without saying; and it's something the lot of you already know much about.
But for the sake of the OP, I asked those questions in a rather open way.
