I submitted my site to Relmaxtop and currently want to remove the bloated javascript/image counter. I don't however want to lose the inbound link - here's the odd thing.

Go through google and http:// relmaxtop.com/Entertainment_and_Art/Visual_Arts/ has a PR of 6 (viewing through toolbar).

Go to the same URL from a direct entry and the toolbar shows PR 1.

I used a tool to check PR and it showed a PR 1.

Which PR is the real PR? The URL has been deliberately crippled to avoid giving them another inbound link.

I'm not sure what you're talking about.

Google ranks PRs by how many people are linking to it. So people may be linking to the site different ways. it also goes by page, not entire site.

I'm referring to the same page. When reaching the site by Google search engine it shows up as PR6. When reaching it by direct link or by testing with a PR check tool it shows up as a PR1.

probably a difference in the url that you arn't noticing,

with www or without

with /index... or without
