How long (days or hours) does it take PR updates to cycle through all the websites once they start?

And we should care about this because???

I get the impression that google is now processing pagerank in smaller peices. They don't just run through everything in one swoop.

it takes:
2 days 6 hours and 29 minutes for the home page.
4 days, 11 hours and 39 minutes for the about us page.

I will tell you the rest if you pay me

I rather ask Google about that,...by the way its free.

Upon which proof you are telling this days hours and minutes? Do you have any proof of your counting in miniutes?

I am not sure about this. Normally update cycle is between 1.5 to 3 month.

No, my numbers are not true. Yes, I was joking.

Why? To point out that people worry way to much about PR than they should. If they would spend half of the time they worry about PR thinking about new ways to improve and promote their businesses, they will take a big step towards success.
As far as I know, PR is updated every 3/4 months or so, it takes a few days for the update to show in the little green bar so many people worship.
Keep in mind that the regular internet user don't have the green bar installed. For some of those who do, it probably came with the Google toolbar and they have no idea what it means.

Julien - stop confusing everyone! You know it is related to the alignment of the planets and the moon's pull on the earth. Ocean tidal swings are tracked using Google's massive processor capacity, and at the precise moment the tide hits 1.79 cm above normal in Saskatchewan the update happens. Then the cycle is repeated, except on leap year.

I liked the remark of days, minutes and second. It was very funny. The answer from what I observed at the last update was 3 days to cycle through and update backlinks and pagerank.
