to get your sites index regular way just create word Press Plugin blogs in to your sites and posting 3 to 4 blogpost in your blog share it with stumble and digg doing forum posting of your sites and ping your all blogpost in RSS feeds it's crawl your site very reguler manner once a week at list.

I managed to get a new site indexed in 2 days by signing up to Google's Webmaster Tools, Analytics and by commenting on high-ranking blogs over the course of the day. The site was indexed by the following afternoon. This technique really seems to work for me.

If you keep your website updated regularly, Google will trawl regularly for updates. Also try submitting your updates to social bookmarking sites like Digg and ALWAYS remember to update your site map as you add your new content and resubmit it via Google's webmaster tools.

Sorry, I know it is an old thread but I have put my website online 4 days ago, and according to my statistics, googlebot has visited my page many times since, but I am still not indexed!
Is there something I am missing here??
I am new to this...

It takes a lot longer than four days. However if the bot has visited the site....


.... it has been indexed

But if I look for my website by typing site:http://www.body-n-mind.co.uk, nothing comes up, and Google Webmasters Tools also tells me it is not indexed.
Why would google crawl my website and then not index it? I thought the former implied the latter...

I think the best way is to develop your links, especially links on web pages that have very high PR.

Being indexed and appearing in ALL the datacentres are two different things.

Sorry Chris, I am not sure I understand what you mean. What is a data centre?
By the way, I meant, when I search for my site in google, it's not there.

Google have several datacentres around the world that are used to answer searchers queries and the are not all synchronised. So the one you are getting data from may not have the pages from your site in that particular index as yet.

It might be synched up tomorrow or it might take a week or so.

From my personal experience, google probably follow some sorts of internal schedules for indexing sites. I have my own experiences having my sites indexed in 2 days, while needed to wait for some other domains for up to 2 weeks.

I guess, webmasters might luckily submit their indexing request just before the internal schedule and you know....they are surprised to see the site indexed in 1-2 days!!

I use digg.com and already indexed blogs to speed up the process of my PR1 site

I don't need to do anything. Google and Yahoo come to crawl my site every day.
