I read in some article that the pagerank depend on many things, one of them is the domain age, is this true ?
When I say a domain age I mean two things:
-The age of the website, mean if two websites had the same seo ( same topic, keywords, backlinks ...) but one of them is from 5 years and the other is from 1 years, so the older one will get a better pagerank ?
-The number of years is the domain registered for, I mean it will make difference if I register my domain for 1 year or 10 years ( I read that google think of the 1 year domain as a spam)

The only correlation between the age of the website and PR is that Google doesn't update the PR that often.
The rest has no influence whatsoever. A domain name can loose PR as it gets older. It's kinda like wine, some get better, some turn into vinegar. :-)

I also read that on many articles.. I keep thinking that the age of the domain has something to do with PR.. @ chrishirst - I wonder if you have written any article?

Domain age is being included by G as part of their algo..as for older domain had collected few quality links sometimes it out ranked new sites with more backlinks..the older the domain age G trusted them more as to new one say 10 yrs versus a 2 yrs..domain age is prominent as algo filter...

And you can state this as fact because???

It defend on the quality of your backlinks.

Page rank depend also on fresh and unique content.

PageRank is pretty much entirely dependant on sites that link to you.

ranking in SERPs is dependant on age (extremely minor), sites linking to you, and most importantly unique content.

If pagerank had anything to do with domain age, then somone could just buy an old domain and get high pagerank !

This clearly never happens, so therefore enables you to make ur own sensible conclusion !

I think Page rank depends the site traffic and back links and it's not depends domain age

One of my blogs to to a PR4 in 6 weeks after I created it. Age is important sometimes, but not always. Just have good relevant links towards you and it would be pretty OK.

2. regular unique updates
