I have 919 pages that are indexed in googles search. Is this good?

How to check your site:

Go to google.com

Enter this search:
Example search string replace with your site
site:www.therankdirectory.com

Let's start posting up how many we all have, so we can gauge how many is good and what is bad.

Thanks!

It's all relative (and pointless)

If you have 921 pages that make up your site, then having 919 indexed would be fine.

If you have 92,100 pages, then only having 919 indexed would indicate a potential problem.
AND
If you only have 92 pages, then having 919 indexed would also indicate a potential problem.

Numbers are just numbers, it's the relationship or ratio of numbers that is (sometimes) meaningful.

Having 92k pages yet only almost 1k was indexed... That was a BIG problem...

But having only 92 pages and being reported that SE indexed 919 pages, THERE IS A PROBLEM! (sorry, I think this one is hard to resolve!)

Not specially, there are many reason why it would occur, and none of them are difficult to diagnose.

Nope! could be entirely deliberate, or symptomatic of a possible crawl issue. Neither would be difficult to overcome.

Yes!

Search Engines crawl and index unique URLs NOT pages. So any given page could have hundreds or thousands of URLs pointing to one page.

Session IDs for one. Tracking parameters for another.

Need I go on?
