I saw Google has various types of sitemaps it accepts. I was wondering if anyone knows what the Geo Map is for exactly?

When you log into the webmaster tools for Google, you have the option to submit different types of sitemaps. Normally it is just a general sitemap but they now have other variations like the mobile map and a geo map plus a couple more. I have not been able to find much out about the geo map.
