Hey everyone, I was lucky enough to find this active site and am a new registered user. Thanks for the help!

Ok so my questions relates to the way I set up my content. I have the term "las vegas animal hospital" scattered in the website but am not showing up that high on the google search. I am on the front page of yahoo, and #1 with the msn/live search. This if my first website I have ever built which was launched 11-01-2007. I currently have a PR2 (very close to 3), with google showing 52 "relevant" backlinks. However I am ranked on page 3 or 4. Is there anything I can do as far as crafting tags differently? I know with time it will ge t better, but as this is my first website I am sure I am not using some basic things with the tags. Thanks in advanced! The website link is www(dot)bluecrossah(dot)com (not sure if you are allowed to post links)

There's no such thing in pointless toolbar math. It's either 2 or 3. There are no inbetween measurements.

in your signature you can.

Nope! Well you could, but it would make no difference.

Start here and put the "get more links" posters on ignore!

Thanks for the quick responses, as far as the Page ranking goes when I look in the google webmaster tools and the statistics > craw stats > the bar is filled up with about 1/4centimeter left in "low" and then a good amount that has not yet been assigned. What happens when that low is filled all the way up? I was "asuming" that when it was filled up it would start over with "medium" and was hoping for the PR of 3 lol maybe thats not the case?

Aha! No, different thing entirely.

No relation whatsoever to the pointless green bar

There are always things you can to to improve your site, whether the improvements are specifically to get more search traffic or get the people who are finding your site to purchase your services.

One thing I notice is your page titles could probably be a little better. Most (I think all) start with your name Blue Cross Animal Hospital and then the back end changes to reflect the page your on. That could be fine if you have a strong brand and your name will get people to click. If your brand isn't so strong yet you'd probably be better off with your name at the end and more keyword rich descriptive words up front.

For example your services page has this title

Blue Cross Animal Hospital - Veterinary Services

Your target phrase for the page is like 'veterinary services' which makes sense. Naturally your clients will be located in Las Vegas so lets get that into the page title too.

Las Vegas Veterinary Services | Blue Cross Animal Hospital

I notice you offer a variety of specific services like Immunization and Wellness. What I might do then is structure the services section so that each of your specific services has it's own page. Your main services page might just have a sentence or two about each with a link to the specific page.

All the pages in that section could then be in one folder called services and it's structure might then be:

bluecrossah.com/pages/services/index.php
bluecrossah.com/pages/services/immunization.php
bluecrossah.com/pages/services/surgery.php
bluecrossah.com/pages/services/laproscopic-surgery.php
bluecrossah.com/pages/services/internal-medicine.php

etc.

Do you see how the URLs naturally contain what's likely the main keywords for the pages.

Then you might have a page title such as:

Immunization and Wellness Services in Las Vegas | Blue Cross Animal Hospital

The titles I'm suggesting aren't necessarily perfect. They're just quick examples. The | isn't anything special. It's my choice for a separator, but you can stick with the - if you want.

All of the above is quick tips. Know that seo is a process where you're consistently working to improve your situation.

Hope something above helps.
