I was very happy when my blog got PR2 2 months ago. Who wouldn't? But at the end of last month, it dropped to PR1. What's wrong with my blog? What could be the reason that make it dropped? After all, my traffic is still the same as when it earned its PR2 ranking.

One question: If your traffic is still the same at PR 2 and PR1, why would you care? (unless being the same is bad)

Stop focusing on PR and you will do yourself a big favor.

There is nothing wrong in PR as far as any of my sites goes. In fact some of the sites have more than my expectation of toolbar pr was

you better care of to your keyword ranking in SERP than your PR drop! I think it is not that bad to decrease your PR unless it affects your traffic!

I would go thru, and check all of my backlinks, and make sure all those sites are still up. Then I would check the pr of those sites, to see if there where any significant changes from the time you acquired the link, to the time you noticed the drop in pr. Then I would make sure none of the sites that link to you (or sites you link to) are not being penalized by Google, because that can trickle down to your site also. Last but not least, I would make sure that all of your link partners sites are still indexed by Google.

This is just a short list of things, I would do. One last thing, its dirty but possible. Make sure none of the sites you exchanged links with, went back and added the rel="nofollow" tag on your link. That would messed up, but you never know.
