Don't be worry if your site/blog still have no PR after a few months. It doesn't mean that you have less visitor to your site as there is no relationship between PR and the number of visitors to your site. PR is only a measure of the relevancy of contents in your site and it is determined by the number of inbound links that you have. If people think that your site content is useful and important, they will link your sites to theirs!
Yeah thats quite clear. I was happy that my blog got PR 3 but inspite of that my traffic was similar as of earlier than I relaised that there is no relation between PR and traffic.
I don't think so. Part of the composition of PR is taken from the percentage of the traffic that you have on your web pages and site in general.

google does update the little useless green bar about every 3 months. Let's say they update it in January, April, August, and December. If you launched your website in July, it will be updated in August amongst all other websites. It's a global update, not a one-on-one update.
PR will take you no where. Concentrate on building backlinks with relevant anchor text that will enhance the search engine rankings and will automatically boost the PR.
I only think of PR when I exchange links or leave my links on a related site, but when I am not doing that, I am focusing on how people could make use of my sites and how they can locate it faster.

You are on the right path to become PR free!
Just forget link exchange in the sake of increase PR and you will be able to fly!
PR and traffic both are now different elements and there is no connection between these two. So many webmaster do not care about PR updation or loosing the PR. But however I do believe that webmaster still give respect to high PR ranking websites.
I handle a lot of sites that ranks well on the SEs, gets good conversion and also gets a good amount of traffic. I don't think PR has something to do with most of them. :P
Even sites that are not being optimized can get a PR. lol such directory site can even have a pr even if it is not a quality one...getting revenues from the site is far more important than acquiring a green bar on your toolbar... xD
