that would be interesting if google made a browser. i would probably use it, because i dont really like ie. whats next, GIM (Google Instant Messenger)

It wouldn't surprise me if they came out with one. But I dunno...I'm still not too nuts on certain things about gmail. Besides, I already have a browser.

Prissed if you read the article it actually states that they believe it will be based upon mozilla. So my guess is it would operate similar if not identical to Mozilla. Of course with some added google features like say a toolbar. I don't know that'd I'd switch from Firefox to google browser tho. Firefox works great for me, and I already have a google toolbar for that. I wonder if they will even release their browser for Mac's also. Google never has seemed to keen on making any of their software work on macs.

Actually, I did read the article. And if they base their browser on Mozilla it'll contain, like you say, "added google features"...that is what turns me off to the idea. Because, like I said, I'm still not too nuts on gmail, and I don't like the google toolbar at all...too much bloat.

I love both GMail and the Google Toolbar. Plus I use IE, so anything would be an upgrade.

not till now but there is a whois record for it registered to google.

but as prissed mentioned, it's going to be hard to beat the already #1 open source web browser, firefox.
