I am wondering about site maps...

is it best to submit the sitemap with the www or is that important any longer?

I have two sitemaps already generated (one with one without) I am not sure which is the best to use

thanks so much for your answer in advance

We've detected that your Sitemap file begins with whitespace. We've accepted the file, but you may want to remove the whitespace so that the file adheres to the XML standard

it depends.

which ever one you use as your main URL is the one you should use.

OP, In case you don't get chris' comment:

if your main url is www.yourdomain.com, then use the www for your sitemap. If your main url is domain.com, then use the non www version.
My bet is that you still have both versions on your domain so you should fix that first with a 301 redirect
