You could use keyword tools to find out what people are searching for and then extrapolate the kind of content they would be interested in.

Search any keyword/s that come to your mind. Note the results. Study your list after a cup of coffee. This may not help you but at least you'll have an idea of how many people is searching for info about a particular topic. I searched 'make money online'. The result says, over 40 million people also searched for this keyword phrase.
