You can use it, along with sitemap and good linking structure so google bots could crawl entirely your site.

You may go with article posting & URL submissions with the link of your subpages. So that you can get some visitor for them.

Agreed! you can also bookmark the inner pages. But be sure that it is relevant to your homepage.
