Hi Friends,

This was really SHOCKING to me that sudden downfall of Daily Traffic on our Website. We had a Daily traffic of 650 - 700 till last Friday.

But suddenly it went to 350 on Saturday and 130 on Sunday instead of 400 on Sunday. We checked that anyone deleted the analytics code from page but all are well. But i can't find out what's the issue was.

Please guide me where is the problem. I believe that i can get a solution for my quest here from the experts in this forums.

Which kind of traffic is down? from Search engine, referring sites, direct traffic? If referring sites, check which links are down. If search engines, check which keywords are down.

This will help you determine the cause of the drop.

Is your site new? Google plays with new sites a lot. The more old a site grows, the more stable ranking it gets.

You can not concern yourself with who goes to your site only with what they do once they are there.

To give anything in the way of a useful answer we really needs some more info. Could you give the URL of the site?

Also check your status on Google, check the last time your site was indexed, look for changes in number of indexed site.

I think that you can figure out by checking all the visits source (referring site, SE, direct visits). you can determine the visit lost by checking it first!

you just said that the analytics code has been deleted! so that should be the problem or its been commented!

If you are talking about weekends traffic than on weekends traffic is always less. Holidays and weekends are always bad for website owner as more and more people love to spend their time without their laptop and computers.

But however if this one is on continous basis than I think you should seriously check and compare your traffic details.

Traffic do fluctuate depending on the days, important events etc... If more people go for vacation, then the online activity will come down. The reduction in traffic may be due to the Thanksgiving day?

did you see a drop in the serp? Maybe your site drop in the serp.

I have experienced similar. Now its getting back again. Lot of people been visiting in the long holiday weekend.

I had one adsense site making $10 a day until 2 months ago...now NOTHING even though the visits are still there. Confusing but I guess I'll chalk it up to the economy.

try to optimize your site. maybe the keyword showing doesn't have good conversion.

give it some time like the stock market, try to wait it out hopefully it will bounce back soon, if its still low after a few weeks then theres probably an underlying problem you need to investigate
