Site Verification - New Question

I made some progress trying to verify my site. I was able to upload a meta tag, but for some reason it still doesn't verify. I'll keep trying.

Anyway, when it didn't work, i went back into the website editor and deleted the metatag. Now, when I run a search on Yahoo, my site comes up, but it shows the meta tag code (that I erased) as my title. What's up with that? I'm guessing that will disappear over time once Yahoo's spiders crawl the site again. I don't know - can anyone explain this? Thanks.

yes, it will disappear next time Yahoo crawls your site.

As for verifying your site, are you sure you added the right meta tag and in the correct part of the code? (Between <head> and <body>)

i think that is the problem. I'm not getting between <head> and <body> and the only way I can get codes to appear is through the editor provided by my host. When I insert the code in the editor box, it appears elsewhere. Is there someother way to upload the code?
