Wired indexing - big problem

I mention that almost whatever we publish on site, Google index first home page and then that page as sub-result.

Example: http://www.google.com/search?q=casino%20betfair

This is common problem, which is happening for almost every news article or review.

The good news is, that means you have 2 places on the front page, instead of 1. And it makes perfect sense. The query text exists on your home page and the new page you just created.

Most people go around "building" links left and right, and 99 % of those links point at their home page. This is a natural result of that practice.

But I want that news article page be first listed instead of home page. What causes this? Better PR of home page?

One of the factors that you need in order to get that "double listing" is to have a link from the new page to an existing page that is already ranking high for a certain keyword. With this, your new page will instantly move to the bottom of the existing listed page in the results.

You are right in saying that your homepage has more authority than your news page and thus, the former ranks higher than the latter.

Yep, but NOT the PR you are thinking of.

Having 2 pages listed is better than 1 listing for the same search phrase, with 10 listings on the 1st page, you have in theory a 1 in 10 change of them clicking on your site (ignoring the fold, ppc and quality of the snippet & title) if you have 2 listings for the same search terms you now have a 1 in 5 chance - thats a good thing.

But the problem is, whatever I put in title of news article, it's very good ranked and fast indexed (few hours), but home page appears always as a result, not that page article.

I understand that people turn off the site when they see they are not get what they want.

It's Garbage!!!!

How do they KNOW what page they requested?
all they have is some pages that meet their request, it doesn't matter if they are "home" pages or not.

If you are looking for "metallica turn the page lyrics" and the first result is a home page of lyrics site, is that useful for you? Will you try to find a search on that site and type again or just click back button?

But that has nothing to do with it "being a home page".

For your home page to appear for a search for another pages title, it probably indicates that there is a link on the "home" page to the inner page, or in the case of a "blog" part of the article/post will be there. People are perfectly capable of clicking this link and getting where you think they should be.

The behaviour you note is only a temporary phenomena, as soon as some links to the inner pages have been found, analysed and weighted it will take up it's natural position.

It is simply because the "home" page has more intrinsic "weight" for any phrase that appears on it, and the new inner page only has the newly conferred reduced "weight" from the "home" page. BUT because both pages match the search pattern exactly, they are displayed in order of "importance".
