I was de-indexed last December 24. I don't know why. I don't know how to do those black hat sort. Think it was because of the sudden rise on traffic. My blog was averaging 1,400 unique hits but on the 23rd, I guess it jumped up to 3000++. Does this caused the problem? And what can I do to be re-indexed as soon as possible? Or will I be re-indexed at all?

Why would Google care about a sudden rise in traffic? Maybe someone stumbled your site or you were talked about in a major blog. Google doesn't de-index pages for spikes in traffic, only for attempts to manipulate their algorithm to achieve higher rankings.

I'm not convinced you were de-indexed. As already advised get a Webmaster account with Google and you'll have an answer immediately as to whether your site is in any trouble with Google.

If it's the blog in his signature then it is not in the index.. But then I didn't look very hard..

@ seolman, what do you mean stumbled or talked about in a major blog? A blog can get deindexed by being talked about in a major blog?

I found out that several urls are restricted by robots.txt. The urls were the URLS of the labels or categories of my post. Why did this happened?

No.

You decided that traffic was the cause of being "deindexed"

can somebody give me some good answers please. i'm desperate! ok, the traffic didn't cause the de-indexing, which I thought it did. Sorry about the lack of knowledge. I'm not like anyone of you. I really don't know a thing about this deindexing and robot.txt disabling!

Quite honestly Esdee we don't know why you have been de-indexed. The best advice we can give has already been given but I'll say it again for you: Use the best tools available from Google to find out why your site has been de-indexed. Once you log into Google Webmaster Tools and plug your URL into their system they will indicate to you if the site is indexed, and if not WHY not. If you have violated any of their webmaster guidelines they will give you some hints as to which ones etc. That will guide you on the way to getting your site back on track.

Hope this helps.

One lesson learned;

Never assume anything.

But lets face it, you have to ask yourself.
What exactly does your advert overloaded, lightweight, Google provided freebie "site" have that would make any search engine include it in their index?

I think a bit of self-criticism is the best way forwards esdee/esteban/estee-lauder/estefan...

When I was like you, sittin there with my money machine that relied heavily on tonnes of free traffic from google, earning nearly 2000 dollars a month in my best month, I didn't do the wise thing and find ways to make my money no longer AT ALL reliant on google.

I could have spent the profits on advertising and created a growing userbase but instead I let my traffic come free every day from Google and spent it on a car, lots of food, nice things to smoke and drink, and other things that don't really enhance a business.

When I unexpectedly and suddenly saw my traffic drop overnight, my money dropped and I became the hunted and bad luck the hunter.

There is nothing you can do to undo whatever has happened - that is the most likely thing to be true. So (1) don't spend any more money - whatever you have saved, hold on to, and (2) make sure that NEXT TIME you build more than just one thing that works in one way.

It's all about eggs and baskets. This is not love, or the olympics. It's business. You HAVE to have 4 backups, 8 secondary ideas, 16 potential money-spinners on backburner, and you just have to handle them all and do them all.

Be a snake. Shed your skin. Move on. You can whine about your bad luck from here to 2012 or you can build something new so that in 2012 you're getting 10,000 users a month and most of them don't even come from Google! Oh - 8am, I better clock in or the boss will dock my pay. Wait a minute. I AM the boss.

^^ Actually, I kinda agree with him. Instead of wasting time whining about why Google did this and why Google did that, just keep going on with your daily routines.
