Hi guys....I was about to make different meta tags for every page in my website...I thought that they might need different description, keywords etc...when I realized the number of pages in my website and that it would be T-E-D-I-O-U-S....then I tried to see other websites and saw that their pages have the same set of meta tags....

does any of you know if having different meta tags describing each pages would be better than having a set of meta tags, describing the whole website in raising PR, search rank etc..and if it IS better, will it be significant enough to do it? thanks....

We do exactly what you are talking about with php. Our site (for example) sells dresses from different vendors. php pulls the vendor name from the database and echo's it out in the title, keywords, and description. Really the only "trick" is to make sure that it is being echo'd out in the <head> at the very top of the page.

We also use this to pull style numbers (product numbers) and display them on the individual items page.

I wish I could give you a snippet of code or an easy solution but our system is so developed it doesn't make sense without referencing external files and how things pull from our DB.

We got started on this by searching around on google!! Best I can suggest is for you to do the same.

Good Luck
