I'll definitely check it out and try using it. It'll be interesting to see if it produces better sitemaps than other sitemap generators I have used. You'd think it might since it was made by Google.
I definitely check it out first then made some review before using it!, I try to point it out by the comments of the user who use it first! but it looks awesome!
Just checked it out - thanks for the reminder. It unfortunately looks even more complicated than the previous Python-based tool they had. I was hoping for something web based that would scan the site, maybe look at your Google Analytics for input. Having to mess with your web server software seems a little heavy-handed and unnecessary to me.

You are the legend and we follow you. You tell us what do you think about this. As you can tell us more depth views about this. I am using one plugin for my wordpress blogs and that generate automatic sitemap and submit to top 3 search engines.
ATM, I am more satisfied with the free tool available at xml-sitemaps(dot)com and I think it is more simple than the google sitemap tool which requires server-side plug-ins...
I hoped for something based on the WEB which would sweep the site, perhaps looks at your Google Analytics for the entry. Having to dirty with your software of web server seems little awkward and useless with me.
This is a great tool to generate sitemaps, but sitemaps only help to get all your site crawled by search engines they wont make any changes on your search engine positions
