I just reviewed your both the pages,
vampirestomb.com PR=3 and another about.php=5.
From my knowledge of SEO, I am going to give you the following reason
# After analysing your site, it seems to be a "Vempire" site, thus your target key word should be "vempire", In the main page you use "vempire" word only 40 times including all the links. Where as in about.php page, you use "vempire" key word more than 130 times including links.
#The search engine will definitely check the key word density as well as key word prominence. So make sure your key word density is as close to nececity.
# the main page got less rich content as compared to your about.php rich content. This will be the major difference also.
#As far as link is concerned, your main page got 1860, where as your about.php got 1850, it means almost equal links both the page is getting, but the different is huge content with the use of "vempire" keyword.
So just add rich content to your main page and maintain your key word density.
I will be sure that after adding rich content with the use of "vempire" key words, your main page will definitely get the high PR.
