Hello, cool board here

I put up my new movie review site. I have a computer background but the web part is new, so I might stumble a little.

Anyway, I can't seem to get ANY traffic, I submitted to Google like a week ago. What I hear most is that I need some high PR links. I agree that would be great. But I've got no cash, etc...

Anyway my main question is: How can I get more traffic? What kind of things should I be doing now, etc...?

Well, for starters - don't expect just because you submitted last week, that voila! and you get traffic.

Give it some time...update your site regularly, submit to directories, build other sites to link back through your own network, and exchange links with other webmasters. Also, might try doing something cool with wordpress where your thread are automatically turned into blog posts - maybe put that on a sub-domain to help build up the main domain (I believe there are plugins that do this).

So just you and the other 100,000 "movie review forums" there are around then.

What makes yours different? What is the purpose of having the site?
When you have worked those out you may have a chance of promoting it and getting useful traffic.

Its just a week of SEO and promotion. . . if you want traffic, you have to try traffic exchange, its very effective.

You can do social Networking is really helpful to increase your web traffic.
