Has anybody else noticed that Google is now #1 and Yahoo has fallen to #2 in the Alexa rankings?

Anybody who actually noticed that obviously has too much time on their hands. Google moving up in alexa ranking does not affect us at all. I personally do not care about alexa rankings much. They are too skewed towards tech/webmaster type websites because that is mostly who installs the alexa toolbar.

I think that Alexa 1 for G is just another victory but for simple users it is not so important

I don't think it really matters. That's just a toolbar! The success of a website isn't measured by that toolbar.

No it is not fact there are many user who are still concentrating on the Alexa ranking. Alexa ranking is indicating traffic of your site. So who have their own online business they are mostly concentrating in Alexa ranking.

Which shows them the traffic to the site.

personally i think that Alexa is quiet important in different ways like:
selling ads on you're website you can use it as a proof of you're
rank rating and compare with other sites which is very useful
or it can be you're goal to improve you're Alexa rank why would you
want good Alexa rank ? because there are millions website that are
listed in Alexa and i am sure you want to compete with them

i think alexa ranking shows traffic for your website so it can happen yahoo is down nw.

This is the normal thing there is nothing new in this now a days people are uses for searching only Google. Most people are only focusing on google search results.

Alexa rank is not so important. Depends a lot on where you site is from. For Europe the fact that your site is no 2 in Alexa has no meaning.
Traffic comes from Google, Yahoo; Alexa just evaluates your site.

Alexa is somewhat important, so is PR. Especially when you sell links.
But it does not matter if google or yahoo rank first.
