I added this plugin for my Wordpress that automatically creates SiteMaps in XML.


In the options for this plugin, I can set what is called "Change Frequency: This option sets the period in which changes are expected for the item."

In regards to my homepage + posts, I can set the "Change Frequency' to hourly, daily, monthly, or annually.


I create blog posts and usually never update them again. I create maybe 5-10 blog posts a day. What should my Change Frequency be? It is currently set at weekly

Doesn't really matter, it will make very little difference to how often the crawler actually visits.

Daily? But only if the SE will crawl your site daily.

You need to set it as "daily".

Set it to daily but I don't really think it makes too much difference.

It really doesn't matter I guess. But if I will going to set it, I'd choose to go with "weekly" Just my opinion.

Actually if set to weekly and update monthly / also opposit do not thing its a problem.. Google doesnt care it and its keep indexing according to the content .. If th esite is daily updating for a period.. then Google will crawl the site daily.. Found many forums an dnews papers crawling daily

use daily for home rest u may use monthly
