Hey all,

I recently launched a site and although I am new to design and development, I belive my Meta data is accurate. Here is the an excerpt from my index page:

However when I google my site it is on the second page of results and is listed with a description for my hosting service, 1and1. Why wouldn't it display the descirption listed in my meta data? Site was published 2 weeks ago.

2 weeks and you are already searching Google for it?

That's what was there when the crawler last visited, a 1and1 domain holding page.

Give it a few weeks from when you have some decent backlinks and it will be "fixed"

You'll want some quality backlinks to get a better ranking. If you are just concerned with ranking for your name, you probably just have to be patient. It can take a little while for information to update across Google's datacenters.
