I guess they're updating. Also my rankings fluctuated yesterday the last time I checked it.

chrishirst why would you say its another thread about nothing? To many people search engine algorithm updates are very important. If you pay attention to each update you learn important things about how the search engines will rank websites today and in the future.

I realize that your stance is that you should spend most of your marketing time on improving your website and ignoring rankings. That is a good strategy...if time is not important. If you want traffic quicker, you need to figure out what hoops the search engines want you to jump through.

The reason why he says it's a thread about nothing is because Google updates their rankings everyday naturally as it indexes more sites. Sites that are based on good content really have nothing to worry about. They are constantly adjusting their algorithm and I seriously doubt that they'll implement a change that is so drastic that it flips the results upside down. Getting excited about it is a little like being excited about seeing the sun in the sky everyday.

my ranking fluctuated yesterday as well, i lose ranking on one keyword and now back.
