Hey guys, sorry fi this has been covered already... I searched but didn't come up with anything.

I want to know how Google Images are populated when you search specific topic. Is it the same as websites are listed in the search? For instace, when I search some images for our shop, i come up with one that is maybe the 15th one listed, and it's from a thread on another forum, but I want them to come up with the image from our website and have it come up possibly on the first page.

Do I have to use some kind of tagging on the images?

Google,I think alike other search engines doesn't have the ability to Scan through Images and Videos as well as flash and know What that actually is.
So Google actually put's image With the Help of Alt-Tags that the Webmaster implements on their Images.
Alt-Tag's may be termed as the Un-official Name Of the Image

you have to do Image Optimization for your sites with ALT tag along with all images.
and just do Image optimization through image sharing, Photo sharing sites with targeted ALT tag.
