I don't really know the correct name for this.

But for example, when you google "yahoo", the search result will give a sitemap like thing under the url:
Mail My Yahoo
Sport Play Games
Finance United Kingdom
Messenger Search

Can someone tell me the proper name for this and how to make one?

as far as i know your site can have sitelinks depends on the popularity of your inner pages.. you can't make one.. google algo automatically created that when someone search.. they serve as shortcuts to help users quickly navigate to the important pages on your site.

Sitelinks are automatically generated by search engines as far as I know about Google. I don’t think you will be able to generate them.

Because we generate sitelinks dynamically, this list can change from time to time.

Time and popularity will get you sitelinks. Also sitelinks are more easily created by navigation menus. Look at site that have sitelinks and study their navigation menus.

Absolutely right.

I wonder if their is a way to get them more then just waiting on Google.

One tip I can give is I noticed you will have sitelinks for certain searches of your website and not others. For example I use to have sitelinks for the search CharacterPlanet (my old domain name) and mmo community but not for other searches. This is because most of my backlinks said CharacterPlanet or mmo community. Sitelinks are more related to anchor text than people realize. More backlinks should help you get sitelinks, even for just your homepage.

I believe site links are given only to sites that are on the top1 search result :|
