Can anyone help me please?

I currently have a client who wants me to create multiple html pages for each city listing that he services and link it to his current website. This needs to be done just for the sole purpose of submitting to a search engine. Therefore, if somebody were to search for service in that area, his business will be the first to pop up in Google.

Given, that his current website shows up on the first page of Google when searching for TORONTO COMPUTER REPAIR. I thought by duplicating that page and swapping all the words containing TORONTO with another city and saving it for example as vaughan-computer-repair.htm I may be able to see it on Google when I search for VAUGHAN COMPUTER REPAIR. However, it does not seem to be found anywhere on the first 20 pages that I have searched on Google.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ash - Webmaster

if the page is new then its pretty normal.. and you might also have alot of competitor since its a different kw.. try to gather more links and target that particular kw more..

and about copying the page.. what do you mean by that??
it could be duplicate try adding more unique content..

You have to build back links for each keywords as you did for your primary keyword TORONTO COMPUTER REPAIR. And also try to get back links from that respective regional sites. Also do competitor analysis for each keyword and try to get links from where they have got.

Thanks for your replies!

I just don't understand how to get more links for all 10 city pages? Do you mean I have to add more links to those pages from my website?

Oh and BOGS when i said i duplicated the page I just used the same data that was on the index page and replaced all references referring to TORONTO to the OTHER CITIES. Then I saved it as CITYNAME-computer-repair.htm

Here are the two links for comparison:

I deal with the same issue. First target you main city. Its best to include all the areas that you intend to service by having the names of the city in the footer. Next create pages that are heavy on the keywords naming the GEO area and service. Third build keyword links pointing to specific pages. Dont forget to name pages to include keywords. Keyword density and Pagerank will get you the higher listing you are looking for. If you need more help feal free to Pm me.

Yes, you have to do more link building for each page with targeted key word.
