Can someone explain me how do we go about SEO for an e-commerce site. From all the knowledge i have gained, it is very clear that fresh content on the website is very important to get indexed. But my question is....if you have an e-commerce site, and you have updated all the contents related to your products in the catalog; what would you do next to update your content? Is there any way for updating content on e-commerce pages. Explain me plz. Thank You,

Irfy!

I'm surprised the links in your signature can't help

Optimized each page with product name as targeted keywords then try to insert general keywords.

Example on title page if your site sell dvd movies. You should create the title like this

Angels and Demons DVD | Buy DVD Movies

Then insert again the keywords on content.

Make sure that your title has your keywords in it, and focus on getting anchored backlinks that have your keywords. Relevant backlinks are the best to get, but sometimes it's difficult to get them. Just get as many as you can because every link counts if it is dofollow.

Have you thought about creating a blog for your site, a topical news feed, or maybe having a subject forum. These can act as content gerators for your domain and will help to encourage the bot spider to return more frequently.
