Hello all, I know that article submission for various directories is a good way of increasing traffic...but my question is.....can i put in the same article in my blog....if i do so.....will that raise the issue of duplicate content?

But I have another question. Why would you want to flood the internet with multiple copies of the same article? Don't you think that this will dilute the value of the copy on your site if a searcher can get it at any number of other places?

I would prefer to retain exclusivity of my content. Do your own research into the kind of articles that get plastered all over the article directories. For the most part it's useless trash. Now contrast the quality of those articles with the ones you can find on reputable, authoritative sites - that don't use article directories. There's a big difference. Personally, I wouldn't want my content to even be associated with an article directory.

Besides, why give search traffic to the articles sites when you do all of the work?

Not only that, a good article gives a visitor an honest reason to be on your site.

I agreed with the two posts above.

if you want to promote articles that are on your site, I suggest you write a little teaser about the article and provide a link to your site to finish reading the article.
However, most article directories won't approve your articles this way.

If you want to increase traffic by writing articles, publish them on your website or blog and submit the url to social book marking sites along with a short summary.

Definitely keep the unique content on site, and a teaser on article sites
