Hi guys

I have been constantly working on my site http://www.worldofchat.co.uk and have been doing well with my site, but over the last week or so my serps started to drop.

It has dropped a little on google.co.uk but only a small amount and im not worried about that.

The problem is i seem to have more or less disapeaerd from google.com when i was on pages 1 2 or 3 for my keyphraes, I havent changed anything and teh sites not banned or anything, my backlinks have dropped a little, anyone any ideas why this might happen ?

Many of us are experiencing this same problem. This might be due to Google updating its algorithm. So I suggest you to continue on your work and hope for the best.

ya i have also seen some fluctuation in ranking as well as baclinks but it happens time to time because of google dance so do not worry and keep on working for your site in right way.....

I'm experiencing same problems so it must be on google's side.

Don't worry. It happens all the time. Mine dropped big for a few days and then came back even bigger. I don't know why. It just happenned.

I experienced a drop from #2 for my key phrase down to #11 (first spot on page 2) which has been a huge loss in traffic for me. This happened in the beginning of May.

Now I'm back up, but only to #5 on page 1. I really hope they get things sorted out.

Ironically enough, my site went from PR 1 to PR 3 in this last update, but my SERPs haven't restored back to normal.

well I guess let's wait for a month to see what will happen next and check again your site weekly if there are hardly any changes.

IS it for all keywords?.... wahtever this disappear is normal and no need to worry much ..same happend to me.. but I continue my SEO.. after one month came back to old position... So I feel its normal Google magic

Thanks for the great replys guys, as webmaster talk always seem to be more understanding about these kind of issues, rather than on other forums telling me i shoudlnt expect to rank high on google.com because i have a .co.uk address which i understand their point but quite frankly sounds wrong to me !

My keywords dropped a LOT, from page 1 down to 4 for my best keyword, some i cant even find.

It can be very scary when this happens, some webmasters dont seem to understand this, im sorry to hear others have had a drop too, but this does give me some reassurance that its not just happening to me.

IF anyone hears any news on what might be causing this please let me know.

With age and more steady link building and new content, your rankings will come back. If the site is new you could have been on your google honeymoon, the initial good rankings you get on a new site which usually drop after a week and then gradually build back up.

Google ranking fluctuation is a common thing, especially if your target keywords are competitive. Just keep on building quality links for your site to get a more stable position in SE.

Just a quick question: how old is the site? Because if it's new, you'll have to live through a 'probation' period.

Google is making some changes mine dropped also.

My site is over 5 years old and has always done ok in the rankings, im just shocked by my sudden plummet down the listings lol !

I know what you mean. When I search on Google this morning the first 3 pages were blank.
They must have pushed everybody's SERP down.

Yeah, the changing algorithums are tough to keep up with. Just gotta hang in there and keep plugging away and things will correct themselves. Good to hear that it is not just an isolated incident.

Yes, it is indeed very relieving to know that it isn't an isolated issue.

Google keeps changing all the time. All we need is to catch it up.
