Google updates every 3 months=))) Maybe it's the reason=)))

Get you site listed on another site, increase you backlinks and be patient, it takes time for google to crawl the millions of sites out there. Make sure you site is in compliance with googles seo standards.

submitting your website into google doesnt make your site crawled and index quickly, you must build a link from quality website if you want google to index your site

Its just a week i think what you need is patience and some quality content

Yeh Same problems with my blogs to. More than 2 months passed but my blogs not showing in the google serach engine.

more back links can help in getting the new sites indexed by Google... submit your site to social bookmarking sites, bots crawl this SB site more often because they always have fresh content...

I would also set up Google Analytics. Even if they don’t help get indexed faster, which they might, they are very useful tools.

I think u should do the following

* Check for crawl errors. The Crawl errors page in Webmaster Tools provides details about the URLs in your site that we tried to crawl and couldn't access. Review these errors, and fix any you can. The next time Googlebot crawls your site, it will note the changes and use them to update the Google index.

* Make sure that the URLs haven't been blocked with meta tags.
