Im new here. I have created a website and submitted it to google, But after a week + still does not appear on google. Any ideas?

Links help spiders find your site. The one in your first post will definitely help.

Your solution is submitting a sitemap + getting linked. If you do that, indexing will not take long. Btw, have you checked with the site: command?

A week isn’t all that long if you don’t have any links.


As for links, you just added one here on this forum above. I checked your profile. You don’t have your website listed under Home Page, you probably want to add it. That may count as a link.


It may take Google a while to see them. I have had Google not find links until a month or so after they were up.


You may also want to try setting up your site with Google’s Webmaster tools. I would also set up Google Analytics. Even if they don’t help get indexed faster, which they might, they are very useful tools.

Sometimes Google might take time to crawl a website.

The fastest way I know to get indexed, is to get some inbound links from well ranked websites. I would recommend you to bookmark your home page on few social book marking sites. Google crawl these sites very frequently, Your website might get indexed within few days.

Build backlinks and allow google to find site by crawling the web. Also, list your site for Google Local, etc

backlinks is important to help the google index your sites.

site:www.yourdomain.com can be used to see what pages of your site have been indexed (in fact it's the command's narrower application area, it is meant to search for a particular term on a given website)

As to the places to put links - well, anywhere (remember, a link is a link), but in order to get picked up you'd better go for the most frequently crawled places, social bookmarking for instance.

Another way is to write a post on a blog that is already popular, linking to the new website. Either yours that built earlier or your friends who can link to your site.

Your site is now being indexed.

"where do i go about putting the links?" you can search backlinks for your competor using link:domain in yahoo search. where you can find a bulk of sources.

I suggest you to join in social bookmarking sites and submit your homepage and niche. Social bookmarking sites are google friendly so go and take your first step for easy indexed.

2. create a google/webmasters/tools account and upload an xml sitemap (really helps)

Submitting to google is waste and better try to do some promotion like link building, on page optmization , join with webmaster tool and submit sitemap etc... Google will idex an y new site but some time will take time...

try site:www.britzinteriors.co.uk you have 90 rezults

Try submitting it to Digg, that's a good place to get spiders in.

do some SEO. submit your articles to google bookmark and other social bookmark sites. you may get indexed

Submitting website in Google is nothing if you want to get crawled it by Google. Better if you bring link of your website from already indexed websites by Google. Write quality content, do linking, make a sitemap.html & sitemap.xml, do social bookmarking and press release if you really want to see your website in Google. Sitemap might help you pages in getting crawled.
