hi everyone my site is up for 7 months and now i want to change the title, is it safe? will google punish me?

-before change: emc focus on bluetooth,bluetooth hack,wifi,mobile anti-virus and security.
-after change: emc focus on bluetooth,wifi,gps mobile phone tracking and security.

i know i posted this question on another forum, but i'd like to hear your advice.

Hi, actually no it will not affect you at all, nearly the exact same keywords are used, except for a few, if rankings might be affects, this could be for mobile anti-virus, gps

ok now i rank well on some keywords, i am afraid the rankings would disappear after the change.

I see that as the step ahead new keywords and I'm sure you are on the right way and that only improve your positions for the new keywords

thanks guys, i wanna get a better position for this keyword and now i decide to get the new title, hope it works, thanks again guys.

it will change your rank result. up or down.

if you think its for better...then go
it will affect your rankings though...

Changing title is not a problem and can say its good ... Google like updated sites... But if th echanges effect on the targetd keyword then problem and will effect on traffic

If you are confident enough with your title then go for it. But it doesn't guarantee good results.

If you keep the same keywords in the title and rearrange them, you will still remain at the same rankings. If you take some keywords out, you will probably drop a few positions for the terms.

Search engines never penalized for changing of web page title. Yes, If you don't place keywords in title in right way then your ranking can be drop.

It is perfectly safe but your site may drop rankings if you get it wrong.
A short title with give you the best results!

If you are ranking well with the current keywords then i would like to suggest
you not to change the title rather than you should add new content rich pages and target them with the new keywords.

but if you are not able to do that then you can change it ..and check after the first cached what is the change in the ranking..

if there is minor change in the current ranking then you can afford it other wise put back the old title ..this is my from my personal experience i will always prefer this way..

Man thanks very much really, after the changes made yesterday, I found this morning that my rankings related to the new added keywords went up in fact.

I hope it won't go down or disapear(cross fingers).

As search engines like updates, we must update on websites. Title, Content, layout etc can be changed often, but do care about keywords. If you are targeting SEO in UK and you are going to update your title then take care about the key phrase either that will be better for your targeted keywords or not. If you are going to update content then calculate keyword density and all other things that are helpful in ranking and then update.

should not change the title too often, or stuff keywords. otherwise may hurt your rankings.

Yeh some time change in page title make affect on your key word position in your search result.
But if it is necessary to change title than and than change your title.

Yes you can change your website titles at any time But keep in mind that change in such way that your existing keywords for which your are ranking don't get removed.

Well in your case as you mentioned above its completely safe and will be a positive approach towards your ranking and traffic.

Moreover Change in Titles and in other web elements some time increases search engine ranking and sometimes drops too.
So be careful.

If you are not getting any business, or the competition on your title keyword is low, then it is better to change the title.

Make sure to insert title keyword in content of your website also.

That title looks very stuffed and spammy. IMHO

Remember the title attribute will become the top line of your Google listing.

While what you have there is probably good for a search engine spider and adding a couple of words won't hurt, it is probably really poor for getting clickthroughs.

There is not an issue if you change the title of your post. But it might be the case that your website ranking might get depleted due to this. You can regain it again by getting more and more backlinks. But this is not any kind of punishment.
