Hi,
Our site is ranking on 1st page of google.de for good terms like send money, transfer money, money transfers but hardly makes it to the end of second or third page in google.com, google.co.uk, google.fr, google.es so on. Our site is multilingual, English the main one, UK ip, UK address, .com domain and in no way we have more german inlinks compared to the other languages, english links are the vast majority of all. I just wonder how can we rank there in google.de but get stuck in the other google domains...

Any ideas?

You should try to get more links from site hosted on different countries.

Hi,
thank you for the interest. I agree with you in general but that doesn't explain the good rankings in a country from which I don't have many links. The only connection I found so far is that according to alexa the biggest % of visits comes from Germany, although the reality is that most visits come from UK

Google has "decided" that your site is German. Are you 100% positive the IP is UK? Because if you are hosted with somebody like 1and1 their servers are based in Germany despite them advertising UK IPs.

domaintools.com says IP Location:

United Kingdom
The whois info is also with UK address.

Today a friend told me that from where he is he sees me #7 in google.se while me, standing 2km away see my site #14 for the same search. This make me think that maybe my site is going up slowly through the datacenters.

The whois data has nothing to do with anything with regards to search engines.
Is the site fairly new?
Do you have an physical address ON the site pages?
What is the default language that is "seen" by visitors if no cookies are set.

And there are many other points that can affect where a site appear in various regional datacentres.

The site is quite old
Yes, I have physical address stated on the site and it's UK address
The default language is English

Links to different domain will help you get higher rankings. Try to get more and more links for your domain which is for US and UK search engines. There are many competitors for this domain.
