Just found this information page about the many types of searches that you can use with Google

I knew of most of them but did not know about this one which should be most useful.

Do a search using this symbol ~ with your keyword after and Google displays the results with all the other keywords it considers to be synonyms. By using this you should be able to SEO multiple phrases that are all considered to add relevance to your main keyword.
