How often is Google updating the PR? once a month, once a year?

I've seen pr updated anywhere from 1 month to 3 months

PR doesn't update as frequently as before.Now it usually takes a quarter for every update.

Try to bring more qualified traffic to your site. This will improve both Google PR and your Alexa standing.
