Looks like the big G really is worried about the that Bing thing. Sure they say they have been working on this for months but interesting on the timing.

Google has announced that they have tweaked their search so it can index faster, better, blah, blah, blah. What they are saying is yes we're worried about BING thats why we announced things now.

It seems Google is feeling the competition from BING.
When I checked the new form of search engine, it gave me varied results.

I seriously don't believe the update is bing-related. It's really a long-term kind of effort that could have ended up as something like this, they couldn't possibly have come up with something in response to bing.

Bing and everyone else has a long way to go if they feel like putting the heat on Google, imho.

I feel unlucky today. I bumped into an update of the updated SE.

Are we talking about the so called Vince update? -- i think you might have something here - i noticed that large UK brands were showing up on goo... and then you remind me Bing --

That SERP list is essentially Googles shop window... and so your would want the best products and brands showing up - (trust and authority reasons... well sorta) when the new shiney shop opens next door...

but then again they have played with something, but i think its due to manipulation getting a bit to easy and spammy in some other way,

they do keep closing these darn door on us..
