I've had my site up for a while but had robots block it because I was still doing testing but have since lifted the block.

During that time I had my title like: Website | Subpage Name and that's how google indexed it but a week ago I've changed it to Subpage Name - Website.

Google has not changed the pages, which is understandable since I don't think it has gone around again yet since its displaying content from the old pages anyways

The problem is that its indexing new pages that has been created recently and google is still indexing them as Website | Subpage Name

Now the titles are all created from the same header.php include which shouldn't matter since its server side coding

Any ideas on this situation?

It will change when the pages are reindexed.

Googles bots will crawl a site but often the inforamtion they crawl takes a week or two before it is displayed in the SERPs. I suspect the pages you are seeing displayed were crawled before the changes and they are only now showing in the results. Give it another week of so and you'll see results.

well a good thing to do is use googles api to write a ping script so this way google can be automatically ping when u have new content

In time it will change when they are re-indexed. Like a previous reply stated, it often takes a week or two or longer for the information they crawl to be displayed in the SERPS. Patience young grasshopper...

This issue refers to cache pages. And yes, it really takes time before you see the changes that is why you really need to double check every work before pushing it up on search engines.

Google crawl my site's home page normally thrice in a week, yet the home page keywords aren't in anywhere in google.Can anybody expalain it? i think google update their strategy daily.What do you think?
