This is my first attempt using wordpress to create a site. Have been working on it for 3 weeks yet. Still in early stages but it is not appearing in any of the search engines. I've got a sitemap, robots.txt file.

Submitted site to a few social sites and a few directories. Currently trying to finish site. Any good SEO techniques would be welcomed.

I prefer writing articles. A list of the top 10 article directories would be useful. The ones that offer a dofollow link either in the content or bio.

Build backlinks to your site. Surely one or other day your site will appear in the SERP.

You can do either of the following to help you get listed on Google:

1. Search Engine Submissions
2. Build Links - back links helps your blog/site get index.
3. Pinging your blog/site
4. Creating a sitemap

just keep building links and you would be in Google for sure

thats normal!if it takes more than 3 months and your site is still not appearing in google there is a problem in your SEO or your site might be on sandbox.

I can see some pages started to appear. Well pleased with that.

SEO is such a long process and one must have patience for appearing the site in google. Probabaly, your site has some issue something like it has gone under sandbox.

Its started to appear on google and yahoo. Not on Bing yet. Not sure if Bing matters tho.

You can use these free webmaster and seo tools to optimize your web site. You need to create quality backlinks and submit to article directories to get in the good books of search engines.

Have you setup webmaster tool account? If not, go ahead and do so.

Y dont u try google webmaster tools, create a sitemap, submit to search engine submitting tools.. etc

Some useful tips for u
