Hi,

I own a website and have physically purchased the name that people would enter when searching into google. Only problem is that there are other sites that are appearing higher in the list. On google.com - my site is appearing 4th and on google.co.uk it is appearing 2nd. I want to try and get it to appear top.

Anyone got any ideas?

Use A Backlink Network

The foundation of your link building efforts should be to use a link network that can get you some good quality links with very little effort. In some cases, if you pick the right keywords and have an uncommon niche for your site, this may be all that you need.

But at the very least, using a system that gives you link automatically will at least be a very good foundation for your additional link building efforts.

Do seo for your site, find out the popular keyword and then write fresh article on blog, submit them to a article submission sites.

As the others said SEO is the key BUT be wary of anyone who offers to take your money and guarantee you to be No1 in google in a week. They might do but the methods they use will most likely see you banned from google. So keep an eye out for false promises etc.

I agree! SEO will help you! It is a process of improving the volume and quality of traffic of a website on search engines. Always remember to do On-Page Optimization (title tags, h1/h2 tags, meta tags, description, keywords, and alt attributes) first then next is to do Off-Page Optimization (classified ads, press release, social bookmarking, forum posting, etc.).

SEO is very important, and your blog content is the king, so you should fresh your blog everyday, and do SEO everyday, then you will have a good effect

I agree, seo is really the key. But its a constant work. Don't do seo then rest tomorrow cause you'll definitely won't make it to the top by doing that. And make sure you always aim for quality.

You want to reach the top by doing better than the ones currently at the top. And once you are at the top, other people will try to take you out. It is a constant battle.

i think you should do SEO for your webiste, bookmark and post on forum, and blog submission....like these ways

You need to build more quality links for your site to outrank your competition. Put something in your signature.

You absolutely have to have original, quality content that is keyword-rich. You also have to have quality backlinks from trustworthy sites.

Those are really the only things that matter.

You need to get links going to your site with your keyword as anchor text.

So if you're targeting 'candy corn' you need to get links from a lot of other sites with 'candy corn' as the anchor.

If you have quality back links and a good content, your site is automatically in the top page of Google. I also suggest you to go for SEO.

On-Page SEO. Google it.

Everyone wants to be the top. Try to work on SEO harder and better than your competitors. You may get a chance. But I am sure your competitors will do the same. So no one can guarantee that spot.
