that's good information but you always make sure to follow webmaster guidelines while promoting a site and if you do that there will be no chance that your site get banned from google.

There is no chance whatsoever that a site operator would cause a site to be actually banned from Google and not know why!!!

There may be glitches or temporary removals which need no action or simply removal of the "transgression" for the pages to recover. But to be banned totally means that whatever caused it has been blatent and deliberate.

I experienced the same situation with banning and I really needed some time to prove that I had no connection to distributing pornography.

Hey Stephen - I see my forum is not the only place you post! LOL - Nice round here though isn't it dude? - Can you do me and webmaster-talk a favour and post in my thread confirming webmaster-talk is the best "webmaster forum" online presently please? (Just pop over to you know where!)

Only if you agree of course. I am new here but have never come across a place like it before, so credit where credit is due!

As Chris said - getting banned from Google you would surely know why wouldn't you?

Personally I think if you get banned you will always (well for quite some time at least) have problems when it comes to "Trust Issues".

You know the old saying about "Leopards and Spots".

Yeah I've experienced this one to one of my site. It hurts the sites traffic and earnings. Right now we are making sure we check the site everyday and keep away from malwares.

Many sites are banned from Google because they get infected by some-kind of malware but if you e-mail them that you have removed it they`ill unban you. Anyway thanks for the article.

It's kind of like in prison where everybody is innocent. This reminds me of the movie Shawshank Redemption where everybody is saying they didn't do it. Haha.

As long as you're doing white hat, I don't see a reason why you're going to get banned as long as you don't do the things given in the link. I don't think anyone still stuff their sites with hidden keywords though. Everyone knows they can't get away with it.

I have already experienced being banned at Yahoo only; it took us almost a year before we get back out websites at Yahoo.
