Ever heard of Google's supplemental Index?
It is a Google archived index of all the less relevant pages of your site and you can read more about it from this search result page at http://www.google.com/search?&hl=en&...=Google+Search
or check to see if your site's pages are included on it by using this query to search Google: site:yourdomain . com *** -jwi8sjh
Go check it.

Google originally introduced Supplemental Results in 2003 but later in 2006 Google have completely overhauled the system that crawls and indexes supplemental results and now Supplemental results are no more.

Just a thought Chris... but why not switch off all the sig links for the rest of the year? then maybe the usual suspects will disappear somewhere else and genuine users of this site can have some peace... (for a bit at least!)

No the "supplemental index" hasn't been "improved"
It is the crawling and indexing that has been improved so what was the supplemental index is no more.

Also do not forget this was 3 years ago and there has been at LEAST one major update to the entire system since then and there is another one that currently rolling out around the datacentres.

It's no good reading ancient material and thinking that you then know all you need to know.

Best Mod I have ever seen anwhere in years tbh, I am jealous, it is few and far sites you come across anywhere where moderation makes sense.

Not to give a him big swell head so he can't fit through doors, but Chris, from what I have seen over my 1st 3 days here is a mod any site would covet.
