If you don't follow the "latest and greatest" "trick" or "secret", there is no need to even care about changes, simply because your site will not be affected by them.

If you practice white hat methods, your site will not be effected badly from any change.
If you depend on artificial ways of building links and other non-organic methods you have to update with changes accordingly.

They keeps on changing the algo. Certain aspect can be important for now but in later part will be different. Surprisingly nowadays they seem to ignore the keyword and description meta tags. It seems that a lot of things are pretty much out of our control.

I have been seeing this question a lot lately. What new algo are you referring too. Are you asking about Caffeine?

I'm just going to do the same thing. Not much backlinking and concentrate more on optimizing unique pages on my sites.

I'll keep doing the same thing I've been doing, only if traffic dropped drastically would I even try to change.

There are many ways to get a decent rank in google and not only twitter. Twitter is just only one of them. If you're doing white hat techniques on your site, then you don't need to worry much because I'm sure google will still friendly if you follow white hat method.

No one can accurately explain how Google's algo really works. It's top secret. haha. But we can always experiment and follow the experts. Many say 2010 is the year of social media optimization.

Have you guys actually noticed any difference in the way that your site ranks in Google? I mean I have been waiting for the changes that most blogs are saying and most of them says that the changes will appear after the holidays but I haven't noticed anything yet...

actually am excited for the upcoming changes on how they rank the websites, it is a challenging and good part of being an SEO... I'd say we should all be doing what Google is doing, improving their services for their users..

If they will ignore keyword description and meta tags that would be better. Since I don't know what keyword description should I put when I submit my site on social bookmarking sites.

I follow all white hat techniques for my website and just today I fell of the face of the search engine. I was ranking in the top 20 for over 35 keywords and now I don't even see myself until page 15. How did this happen? Could a competitor turned my site in just out of spite?

My point of view is, Google changes their algorithm to provide the best and relevant listings for what people are searching on.
