A month ago I noticed that Google is not showing local results with map for some queries specially related to seo and web design but did research that why this was happening.

Now, today I read an article that Google intentionally was manipulating local map results in the search results for these queries. Read more on the below url:

But, now Google is showing Local Map Results for these queries like, web design delhi in, web design company delhi in.

Do you Guys also see the local map results now?

It makes perfect sense to me.

Physical location makes little difference for these types of business.

Well the quote from the Google employee says it all really:

We believe this is an accurate representation of user intent

That's what Google is all about.

By their very nature, web design companies don't have to be local for you to use them, so I guess it's a case of wanting to use a company whose offices you can see on your way to work vs. the best company, but not necessarily one in your area.

I know which I'd prefer

Web Design offices can have offices for a reason, such as for agents to sit down with a client to talk about design. It's not absolutely necessary, but for what reason should they be excluded if they have a legitimate business?

I don't know if its me but where I live everythings normal. I don't experience this profiling from google...

I'm glad they removed them, way too much spam. To many companies which were not even from that local area would show up, and some times with 3 or 4 listings, so it was a good move by google.

I just did a google search for my employer and it showed the map.
