I have not been a fan of the big G and I do not like their dictatorship all over Internet but now they have really the occasion to make a good move.

I can reconsider my personal opinion on the big G policy if they will close to Chinese government request also if this mean close the business in China.

Money is not all, profit is not all, business is not all…. human rights are far more important and this is the way thing can really change.

This is just good publicity for Google, and why would china care if they left? china can just use another search engine.

well they basically stole their technology so they can prolly due without google now, sorta sucks for google.

I guess they are just protecting business interest anyway Google is business so we should not be shocked of there actions they always means business..

Besides that I think they just know that whatever they do Baidu will always be the choice of Chinese residents so they are in the losing end coz there business will not prosper there..

They said they are closing google.cn. But people in China have access to google.com. So no big deal.

Microsoft to issue IE patch for Google attack flaw

The vulnerability at issue in the cyberattacks that have prompted a showdown between Google and China affects versions 6, 7, and 8 of Internet Explorer, although Microsoft said that attacks have only been successful on systems running IE 6. The company advised IE users to upgrade to Internet Explorer 8 to protect themselves against attacks.

China with make their own google. they are expert in that. Google going out of china will make them no difference afterall google is not number 1 search engine in china its baidu.

yes i can't see how it would be a big deal as some other SE will just take over.

Google not only threatens china but also india. But i dont think they do it. As most of the traffic for google come from asian countires. If they do it they defently loose their busines.

I don't think Google would get anything from so-called quitting. It might be a bad excuse for its not so good achievement on Chinese searching arena.
