PR is NOT an indicator of anything other than the PR.
NOT "Quality".
NOT "importance"
NOT anything other than the PR of the pages that point to the target page.
I agree Chris, however, the "little green bar" is so...pretty. Unfortunately it seems to have a very strong power over many whoom worship it. For those who worship the "little green bar", beware of false idols!
LOL You're right, all of his statements are confusing. He even told us that he's focusing on his site's PR. Meaning to say, he knows how to check PR eversince.
Just a benefit of the doubt, maybe he's just only asking for another site which he can use for checking his PR.
So if PR is not valid anymore, are there any other suggested metrics to determine how well your site stacks up against competitor sites?

They ONLY thing you should care about is "Do MY pages convert well enough.
I doubt that your bank manager would take "Toolbar PR into account", and there is only one kind of "green" your local supermarket will exchange for groceries.

I guess I just have to chime in here since we continue to have these discussions (and as long as we allow Google to control us we always will).
Personally, I think there is a tipping point where "real" PR begins to matter. I have yet to determine that tipping point, but Google clearly states that PR does have "some" affect on SERP's. If you search for highly competitive one word terms you will see only high PR sites at the top.
The other side of that is "a watched pot never boils". Stop drooling on your keyboard whilst staring at a useless toolbar and start creating content actual PEOPLE need, content that other webmasters will WANT to link to, and the rest will take care of itself naturally. There is NO easy route.

PR is still valid but nowadays its somehow not important anymore because for such a website, to gain traffic is the important thing and you can gain such a traffic by improving your site SERP's ranking rather than the PR rank.
