Yes, or rather the PR value those backlink pass on.

Don't forget about the relevancy of the backlinks, more relevant ones hold a higher value than non-relevant.

Search Engines haven't really figured out "relevance" yet, it is too complicated to become a mathmatical equation.

And I'm still trying to work out how people could get from "randomly clicking on links" to PR being "important"

(Only been 12 years though, maybe I'll figure it out one day.)

why bother pr, it has not much to do with your rankings, traffic and earings, which you should care, basicly, i hardly look at it until doing le with others, pr is obsolete now!!
