Logged into my gmail account yesterday and was presented with google buzz seems very similar to twitter but I dont see how you can do real time search to find out what people are talking about perhaps this is not the full version, it will have to be much better than this to rival facebook twitter etc.

I'm also using it... it's just ok... not much fun to use. What I don't understand is why is google hell bent in copying each and every successful service. it's getting tiresome.

Thousands of people did the same thing with "the million pixel" idea.

Dozens of people throw up crappy "directories" every week.

Dozens of people attempt to launch "social networking sites" every month.

What it is that make you say ONE company recreating something is tiresome? Especially when that company has the resources to back it and possibly make it successful!

So the google bot goes through the buzz pages which is linked to your email, isnt this invasion of privacy

I find it a good one. Specially the connection to site. Through one login you can use multiple social networking site simultaneously, I feel. I have a try yesterday and trying to discover more.

Yeah, I saw it last Wednesday. It just like a twitter within your mail. Not so amazed with by that.

I guess you all missed the privacy implications. Essentially Google took what most people had considered private communication (your email and your contacts) and by default made it public (the contacts, not the email itself). Google showed yet again that they have no concern for their customer's privacy.

They also made a huge assumption in that the people we email are automatically the ones we want to network with via status updates and the like. I can't speak for everyone, but for me the two are entirely different groups of people. Also I never actually sign into Gmail. I pull the email into Thunderbird so as a service Buzz is pretty much useless to me as it currently exists.

But since Google decided to set the system up as opt-out instead of opt-in it's a clear message I can't count on them to protect my privacy in any way. If anything I should expect they'll violate my trust in some way in the future and so I've started the process of removing Google from my life.

I turned Buzz off the instant I knew how and have been going through my Google accounts to see all of the places Google has made my information public without consulting me. I've been removing all Google products I don't really need and will continue over the weekend. Some things will be hard to get rid of, but most won't. The majority of Google products and services are easily replaceable.

I am using it and i think its a great service. I already have made some 50+ followers of mine.

I think it's a great idea to make basic things like linking up to your friends been made easier. A good alternative to twitter.

I don’t like to mix any Gmail Lab tools with my Emails and that is one thing that is most anoying about Google Buzz. When I comment on someones buzz and let’s say that someone has 12491412 followers. My gmail get’s hammered. But thanks god there is Mute button. That’s why I said above, follow only people that you most care about.

Overall my experience with Google Buzz is very satisfying, there is lots of features that can be added and I am sure they will be added. One thing I am worried about is people that use Gmail for Business. Or for example checking Gmail from School or Work Network.

yes i have started using Google Buzz. I found its substitute of twitter. Its an interesting way to get in touch with friends

I don't use it now, and I never will. I'm tired of Google making cheap replicas of good products/services...

I haven't used as I am not keen at all and I think it won't last long as there's a very hard competitior - Twitter.

I tried it out on my phone the other day. It didn't seem to me to serve a useful purpose yet, but hopefully over time it will.

Google Buzz has come privacy error or problem. Now it is being sorted by Google.
